In 2004, Dawn Foods purchased a license agreement to manufacture and sell Weight Watchers brand sweet baked goods to consumers. Travers Collins & Company was selected over the Weight Watchers national agency as Agency of Record for this endeavor. TC&C provided strategic marketing counsel, analyzing entry into the consumer packaged goods market and conducting extensive consumer research. Subsequent to the launch, TC&C was integral to the development of the brand's national consumer ads, media analysis and buying, point-of-sale displays, packaging design, selling materials, website and public relations. Growth from 2005 to 2006 was 121%, with sales exceeding projections by 66%.
